Larger Scale, Premium Materials
The Lumen is our most substantial floor sofa - wider, longer, and upholstered in heavyweight plush velvet. An integrated armrest provides side support that simpler floor sofas lack, making this a genuinely functional piece rather than just a decorative floor-seating option.
Dimensions
- Sofa/Chair Size: 35.5"D × 35.5"W × 7.25"H
- Sleeper Extended Size: 78.75"L × 35.5"W when fully unfolded
- Seat Height: 15.5"
- Upholstery: Heavyweight Plush Velvet
- Core Construction: Single-block high-density foam
- Base: Anti-skid bottom
- Exclusive Feature: Integrated armrest support
Material Benefits
The Lumen is upholstered in heavyweight plush velvet - a high-pile fabric with substantially more fiber weight and depth than standard velvet. The added GSM translates directly to a softer, more luxurious hand feel and greater durability over time. Heavyweight velvet maintains its pile structure longer than lighter-weight alternatives, resisting matting and flattening through regular use. The single-block high-density foam core delivers consistent support across the full length of the sofa - no soft spots, no uneven firmness, no segmented pressure points.
3-in-1 Convertible Functionality
- The Lumen transitions between three configurations:
- Sofa Mode: The primary seating configuration with a raised backrest panel. The integrated armrest provides side support on one end - a feature absent from most floor sofas that makes extended sitting significantly more comfortable.
- Chaise Mode: Extend the backrest to a reclined angle for reading, relaxing, or watching television. The 35.5" width provides generous surface area for side-lying or cross-legged positions.
- Sleeper Mode: Fold fully flat to a 78.75" sleeping surface. Suitable for one adult. The single-block foam construction means the sleeping surface is uniform from end to end with no ridge or gap at fold points.
Use Cases
- Living Rooms: The Lumen reads as real furniture - not temporary floor seating. Its scale and heavyweight velvet upholstery give it the presence of a statement sofa at a fraction of the footprint.
- Media Rooms: The low profile and chaise functionality make it ideal for rooms oriented around a screen.
- Guest Rooms: The 78.75" sleeper length accommodates most adults for occasional overnight use without requiring a dedicated guest bed.
Care Instructions
Vacuum with an upholstery attachment on a low suction setting, moving in the direction of the velvet pile. Spot clean spills immediately with a soft, dry cloth - blot gently rather than rubbing to prevent pile matting. For deeper stains, use a velvet-appropriate fabric cleaner. Avoid water saturation and steam cleaning. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight.
